College

Step 3

Objective #3: Locate the web site for three educational institutions that provide instruction for one of the five areas of interest (from Step 1). Describe the instructional program at each of the institutions including: Name of program of study, length of training, degree or certification provided, approximate number of students enrolled at the institution, approximate cost for the program of study (tuition, books, other expenses such as costs for students living on campus versus living at home with family), and financial aid available.

If one or all of your areas of interest require education beyond high school for entry level employment, what educational institutions provide the instruction you would need? Are any of them nearby? Would you need to go to school in another city or state? How long would you expect to be in school preparing for this career? What costs can be expected? How will you pay for your education?

The cost of education is often given as a reason for not pursuing a career that people dream about having. In your investigation you should be able to uncover ways that anyone, no matter what their financial status, can find the money to finance their education and fulfill their career dreams.
